The team at Reel Families for Change was exploring the way we work long before the pandemic. With asynchronous workflow models; access for major life events including birth, adoption, foster care, IVF, and more; agile workdays; seasonal sabbaticals, and fully remote team meetings, the organization has long held the belief that life-friendly practices should be a norm.  And they’re not the only ones… but not enough people seem to know that such options exist, which employers are practicing them, or where they can turn to find them – which is precisely the goal of their “work-life” summit.

This enriching and educational experience is specifically designed with screen industry professionals in mind.  Sessions were intentionally engineered using information derived from RFC’s first-of-its-kind “Screen Industry Sustainability Survey”. Thanks to the survey’s findings, each session is uniquely tailored to acknowledge, address, and alleviate the most pervasive pain points noted by respondents. Reel Families for Change is providing an industry-wide standard of operation for anyone seeking to contribute to healthy, productive creative workspaces and any organization seeking to establish a dual bottom line of people and profit.

The OPENING SESSION will take place on Wednesday, June 22 at 10AM EST and will close at 4:00 PM after an hour-long interactive network gathering for attendees. Visit the RFC Summit page for a full itinerary and updates.

Thanks to the survey’s findings, each session is uniquely tailored to acknowledge, address, and alleviate the most pervasive pain points noted by respondents. Each interactive session will include digital resources for engagement with the topic at hand. At the end of the event, participants will leave with the knowledge and tools they need to put the ideas discussed into practice. Reel Families for Change is providing an industry-wide standard of operation for anyone seeking to contribute to healthy, productive creative workspaces and any organization seeking to establish a dual bottom line of people and profit.

As part of RFC’s commitment to equity and anti-racist practices, additional financial support is available for BIPOC-led organizations. Institutions that can afford the full ticket are invited to purchase at full cost to support scholarships for institutions in need. Individuals without an institution who would benefit from this training can apply for scholarship by contacting RFC at events@reelfamilies.org. Each ticket purchased includes admission for up to two representatives from each organization and includes access to all session recordings for one year.
